Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh // Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh

Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh was released as part of the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Art Series in 2022. These cards were specifically produced to showcase the unique aesthetic of the set, which blended traditional Japanese themes with a futuristic, cyberpunk-inspired landscape. The card features artwork by Anna Steinbauer, who was tasked with reimagining the iconic Planeswalker to fit the set's neon-drenched, technological motif.

The Art Series cards were distributed via set boosters and are notable for lacking traditional game statistics, instead featuring the artist's signature on the face of the card. The design focus was to highlight the visual storytelling of the character's integration with machine life, emphasizing the metallic textures and glowing energy signatures that define the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty look. Within the collecting community, these cards are valued primarily for their high-fidelity printing and the distinct visual identity provided by the illustrators.
