The Destined

The Destined was released in 2014 as part of the Hero's Path, an interactive event series that accompanied the Journey into Nyx expansion for Magic: The Gathering. This set concluded the Theros block, which was heavily inspired by Greek mythology and the concept of gods interacting with mortals. The card was designed as a promotional piece to reward players for participating in the Hero's Path program, acting as an thematic bridge between the player's journey and the narrative conclusion of the block.
