Treasure Trove

Treasure Trove was released in 1998 as part of the Exodus expansion, the third and final set in the Rath Cycle for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, the set was designed to introduce complex mechanics and high-impact cards to the game, concluding the storyline of the Rath overlay plane. It emerged during a period of rapid growth for the franchise, where card design shifted toward more experimental and powerful card interactions to satisfy an increasingly competitive player base.

The card features artwork by Michael Sutfin, whose illustrations are characterized by a distinct, often dark or textured aesthetic that became a staple of the era's visual style.
