What it does
When this creature enters, tap up to one target creature and put a stun counter on it. (If a permanent with a stun counter would become untapped, remove one from it instead.)
Using exoskeletons and false skins, the utroms took up residence on Earth after their ship crashed. Returning home using only Earth's primitive technology has proven challenging.

Where it came from
The Utrom Scientists card, numbered 56 in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trading card series, features characters central to the origin story of the franchise. The Utroms were introduced in the original Mirage Studios comic books by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird as an alien race whose technology—specifically the ooze—was responsible for the mutation of the Turtles. This card represents a pivotal piece of lore, visually documenting the extraterrestrial architects of the series' core premise.
The design of the card reflects the aesthetic of the early 1990s trading card market, which sought to capitalize on the massive popularity of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles multimedia empire. It utilizes artwork consistent with the licensed materials of the era, focusing on the distinct, brain-like physiology of the Utroms housed within their robotic exoskeletons. These cards were generally well-received by fans at the time, providing a tangible way to engage with the deeper science-fiction elements of the Turtles' mythology beyond the animated series.
