What it does
Choose one —
• Target player mills four cards.
• Choose a land type and a basic land type. Each land of the first chosen type becomes the second chosen type until end of turn.
• Target artifact phases out. (While it's phased out, it's treated as though it doesn't exist. It phases in before its controller untaps during their next untap step.)

Where it came from
The Vision Charm card, originally introduced in the Visions expansion, was re-released as part of the Secret Lair series, a specialized line of curated reprints featuring unique, thematic art treatments. This specific iteration, collector number 7040, was designed to emphasize the aesthetic versatility of the Magic: The Gathering card pool, catering to players and collectors who prioritize unconventional visual styles and artistic flair over standard set uniformity.
The design of this release reflects the broader strategy of Wizards of the Coast to leverage commissioned digital and traditional artistry to breathe new life into legacy mechanics. By offering these cards through limited-run direct-to-consumer drops, the company transformed functional utility cards like Vision Charm into sought-after pieces of art, focusing on high-contrast palettes and stylistic departures from the game’s core visual language to appeal to a sophisticated collector base.
