Where it came from
Vraska's Conquistador was released in 2018 as part of the Rivals of Ixalan expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. The set was designed to complete the narrative arc of the Ixalan block, which focused on a Mesoamerican-inspired plane populated by pirates, dinosaurs, and conquistador-themed vampires from the Legion of Dusk.
