What it does
Wanderer's Intervention deals 4 damage to target attacking or blocking creature.
Just as Jin-Gitaxias's victory seemed certain, the Wanderer appeared, her blade already in motion. One mighty slash was enough to take the praetor out of the fight.

Where it came from
Wanderer's Intervention was released in 2022 as part of the Magic: The Gathering expansion Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. The set served as a thematic return to the plane of Kamigawa, reimagining its traditional folklore roots through a high-tech, cyberpunk lens. This card, a white sorcery, was designed to represent the narrative arc of The Wanderer, a central character whose struggle to control her ability to planeswalk is a core plot point of the modern Magic storyline.
The card's artwork, illustrated by Magali Villeneuve, captures the ethereal and solitary nature of The Wanderer amidst the rain-slicked, neon-lit aesthetics characteristic of the set's art direction. Villeneuve sought to emphasize the character's melancholic resolve and the magical energy she channels. Within the gameplay meta, the card was received as a functional, lore-heavy inclusion that allowed players to interact with the set's unique mechanics surrounding Planeswalkers and legendary permanents.
