Wasp

The 30th Anniversary Tokens set was released in 1993 to commemorate three decades of Marvel Comics history. These collectibles were designed to serve as high-quality, commemorative tokens rather than traditional trading cards, tapping into the 1990s boom in premium comic-related merchandise. The series was produced during an era when Marvel was heavily diversifying its collectible offerings to appeal to a growing market of direct-market comic shop shoppers and dedicated franchise completists.

The Wasp card, numbered 16 in the set, features classic artwork that highlights the character's long-standing role as a founding member of the Avengers. The design reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of early 1990s Marvel editorial, favoring bold, saturated colors and dynamic character portraits that were intended to stand out in the competitive card market of that period. While the set is generally viewed as a nostalgic artifact of the decade's collectible mania, it remains a consistent reference point for collectors of 1990s Marvel memorabilia.
