Fear (This creature can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or black creatures.)
Each artifact creature card in your graveyard has encore. Its encore cost is equal to its mana cost. Activate only as a sorcery.)

Where it came from
Wire Surgeons was released in 2022 as part of The Brothers' War Commander set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. This set was designed to explore the deep lore of the game's iconic conflict between Urza and Mishra, focusing on the mechanical and artifact-heavy themes that defined that era of the franchise's history.
The card was illustrated by Wisnu Tan, who captured the grim, utilitarian aesthetic of the Phyrexians' reclamation efforts on the battlefield. The design intent was to provide a high-cost reanimation engine that functions mechanically through graveyard interaction, fitting into the artifact-centric strategies popular among Commander players who prefer resilience and recurring resources.
