Wrathful Raptors // Wrathful Raptors

The Wrathful Raptors art card is part of the promotional Art Series released alongside the Magic: The Gathering set The Lost Caverns of Ixalan in late 2023. These cards were produced as collectible inserts in set booster packs, designed to showcase the intricate illustrations used throughout the expansion without the visual clutter of game mechanics or card borders. This specific piece features the artwork by Antonio José Manzanedo, who captures the aggressive, primal intensity central to the dinosaur-themed aesthetics of the Ixalan plane.

Manzanedo's design for the piece emphasizes the chaotic and predatory nature of the creatures, utilizing dynamic lighting and a composition that draws the viewer into the heat of the encounter. As part of the Art Series, this card was received by the community as a high-quality decorative element for collectors and players who appreciate the visual storytelling of the game. The back of these cards typically includes a signature of the artist, serving as a distinct memento from the set's release period.
