Yargle, Glutton of Urborg // Yargle, Glutton of Urborg

Yargle, Glutton of Urborg first appeared in the Dominaria set as a legendary spirit creature, quickly becoming a cult favorite within the Magic: The Gathering community due to its absurd power-to-toughness ratio and whimsical, grotesque nature. The character represents an ancient spirit that consumed a powerful creature from the swampy realm of Urborg, gaining its immense, unwieldy form and an insatiable, mindless hunger for life essence.

This specific item originates from the March of the Machine Art Series, a specialized sub-set designed to showcase the high-fidelity illustrations used on cards throughout the game's Multiverse-spanning storyline. By stripping away the game mechanics and borders, the series emphasizes the illustrative work of artists like Lucas Graciano, who provided the definitive depiction of Yargle. These cards are widely collected not for competitive play, but as art objects that highlight the distinct visual evolution of Magic's most iconic creatures.
