Yavimaya Enchantress

Yavimaya Enchantress was originally introduced in the Urza's Destiny set in 1999, designed to support enchantment-focused strategies within the green color identity. It quickly became a staple for players looking to capitalize on board-state synergy, as its power and toughness scale directly with the number of enchantments in play. This specific printing comes from the 2001 Seventh Edition core set, which marked a major turning point for the game by introducing a new white-bordered card frame and standardizing the aesthetic for the modern era.

The artwork for this version was illustrated by Christopher Rush, one of the most iconic artists in the early history of the game. Rush sought to capture the ethereal, forest-dwelling essence of the Yavimaya region through intricate detailing and soft, naturalistic lighting. The design was received favorably by the player base for its functional reliability and its contribution to the enchantment-themed deck archetypes that persist in various formats today.
