Zealots

The Zealots card, designated as collector number 36 within the Foundations Jumpstart front card series, serves as a thematic anchor for one of the ready-to-play decks in the Magic: The Gathering Foundations release. This set was designed by Wizards of the Coast to provide an evergreen entry point for new players, simplifying deck-building mechanics while retaining the strategic depth characteristic of the game. The front cards act as the primary identifiers for each Jumpstart theme, intended to be clearly recognizable as players shuffle two distinct half-decks together for a quick game.

The aesthetic direction for the Foundations series focuses on classic, high-fantasy archetypes that resonate with the game's long-standing visual history. The design of the Zealots front card emphasizes bold iconography meant to signal the aggressive, proactive playstyle associated with white-aligned aggressive decks. Upon its release, the set was received as a successful instructional tool, praised by the community for its accessibility and for bridging the gap between introductory products and established constructed formats.
