Provenance

Where it came from

The Zombie Army token from the Reality Fracture Commander Tokens set was released to support the complex board states often generated by specific legendary creatures in the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Tokens in this series are designed to represent temporary permanents created by card abilities, providing players with a visual and tactical shorthand during gameplay.

The design of these tokens prioritizes clarity and thematic consistency within the game's dark fantasy aesthetic. Illustrated by artists commissioned by Wizards of the Coast, the artwork aims to capture the decaying, relentless nature of the undead, adhering to the established visual language of the game to ensure it remains legible on the tabletop amidst a dense game environment.
