Bakudanma na Youhei, Douji Shoukan sareta Saikyou Cheat-domo o Katappashi kara Keshitobasu

Bakudanma na Youhei, Douji Shoukan sareta Saikyou Cheat-domo o Katappashi kara Keshitobasu is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuuki Karaku. It emerged within the prolific isekai subgenre, specifically focusing on the trope of 'summoned heroes' who possess overpowered, cheat-like abilities. The narrative follows a mercenary who utilizes unconventional tactics to dismantle these summoned individuals, subverting the typical power-fantasy trajectory by centering a protagonist who relies on skill and explosive force rather than magical gifts.

The series reflects the late 2010s trend of 'anti-isekai' literature, which sought to satirize or deconstruct the tropes that had become standard in web-novel culture. Yuuki Karaku designed the premise to provide a gritty, tactical contrast to the more lighthearted or earnest entries in the genre. It was received as a niche but notable entry for readers looking for a darker, more cynical take on the trope of summoning heroes to other worlds, often appreciated for its unconventional approach to character power scaling.
