Where it came from
Boku to Kanojo no XXX, known in English as I, My, Me! Strawberry Eggs or simply Your and My XXX, began as a manga series by Morinaga Ai, serialized in Monthly Comic Dragon. The Bangaihen, or extra volume, serves as a supplemental release that expands upon the body-swapping comedy core of the series. Published during a period when body-swap narratives gained significant traction in the shōjo and seinen demographics, Morinaga utilized the premise to explore gender dynamics and social expectations with a distinct blend of slapstick humor and heartfelt character development.
Morinaga Ai was well-regarded for her ability to balance absurd, high-concept comedic situations with grounded emotional stakes. The design of the supplementary material adheres to the series' established aesthetic, focusing on clean line work and expressive character reactions that defined her style. The work was received as a lighthearted continuation for dedicated fans of the original series, maintaining the quirky tone that secured Morinaga's place in the early 2000s manga landscape.
