First serialized in the 1990s, the work showcases Sonoda’s signature style, which often blends fantasy elements with a grounded, gritty aesthetic. The series follows the titular protagonist as he navigates a world filled with magic and technological intrigue, reflecting the eclectic narrative sensibilities that gained Sonoda international acclaim during the height of the 1990s manga boom.
