Cat Shit One

Cat Shit One, originally titled Apocalypse Meow in its initial English-language release, was created by the Japanese manga artist Motofumi Kobayashi. First published in 1998, the series is a stark and stylized depiction of the Vietnam War, featuring anthropomorphic animals in place of human soldiers. Kobayashi, a renowned specialist in military-themed manga, utilized the medium to provide a meticulous exploration of small-unit infantry tactics and historical hardware, juxtaposing the brutal realities of combat with the deceptively soft aesthetic of its characters.
