Catalogus van de bibliotheek van het departement van oorlog [te Bandoeng]

This catalog was published in the early 20th century to inventory the specialized collection of the Department of War in Bandoeng, located in what was then the Dutch East Indies. As a center for colonial military administration, the Department maintained a library focused on strategic studies, colonial defense, and technical engineering, necessitating a structured index to manage its shifting holdings during a period of expanding imperial infrastructure.

The document reflects the standardized bibliographic practices adopted by Dutch colonial institutions of the era. It was intended primarily for the internal use of military officers and civil servants to navigate the library's technical resources. Though essentially a functional record of administrative asset management, it serves today as a historical artifact detailing the intellectual and strategic priorities of the colonial military apparatus before the mid-century shifts in regional sovereignty.
