Where it came from
Dragon Garow Lee's DB X Saitama is a prominent fan-created crossover manga that originated in the vibrant doujinshi scene. Published in the mid-2010s, the work was designed to explore the hypothetical collision between the universes of Dragon Ball and One-Punch Man, specifically pitting Son Goku against Saitama. The project gained significant traction online due to the creator's ability to closely mimic the distinct aesthetic styles of both Akira Toriyama and ONE, serving as an homage to the immense popularity of both franchises at the time.
The reception to the work was largely positive within the anime community, where it was praised for its dynamic choreography and faithful character interpretations. Dragon Garow Lee utilized his platform as an artist to satisfy long-standing fan debates regarding the power scaling of the two iconic protagonists. By carefully blending the narrative beats of both series, the work captured the attention of followers looking for a high-quality, non-canonical exploration of these beloved cultural icons.
