Doraemon's Learning Series Doraemon's Arithmetic Walkthrough - Tashizan/Hikizan

Doraemon's Learning Series emerged as a long-running educational initiative leveraging the immense popularity of Fujiko F. Fujio’s iconic robot cat to make academic subjects more accessible to primary school children. The Arithmetic Walkthrough volume focused on addition and subtraction was authored by Kobayashi Kanjirou, who utilized the familiar, structured world of Doraemon and Nobita to simplify mathematical concepts. This series was conceived to bridge the gap between entertainment and pedagogy, providing a comforting familiar presence that encouraged children to engage with foundational arithmetic without intimidation.

The design of this volume relies on the classic manga paneling style, integrating clear explanations alongside character-driven humor. By situating mathematical problems within the daily predicaments of Nobita, the text frames logic and computation as practical skills rather than abstract requirements. Upon its release, the series became a staple in Japanese households and schools, receiving recognition for its ability to maintain high educational standards while remaining deeply embedded in the cultural fabric of the manga franchise.
