Dragon Ball Z - Stay Gold (Doujinshi)

Stay Gold is a noted work of doujinshi, a form of self-published Japanese fan literature, created by the artist known as Oniyuri. It emerged from the vibrant and prolific Dragon Ball Z fan community, which has sustained a massive subculture of amateur and semi-professional creative output since the series gained global prominence in the 1990s. Such works are typically produced for distribution at niche events like Comiket, where creators explore character dynamics and narratives outside the formal constraints of Akira Toriyama's original serialization.

Oniyuri’s work within this sphere is recognized for a distinct stylistic approach that reimagines the high-octane battles of the Dragon Ball universe through a more intimate lens. These pieces were designed to cater to a dedicated segment of the fandom interested in character-driven storytelling, often prioritizing the emotional or social intersections of the characters. Like much of the doujinshi produced during this era, the reception is largely localized within the enthusiast community, serving as a testament to the enduring influence of the Dragon Ball Z franchise on independent visual artists.
