Evangelisches Gemeindeblatt für Eger und Umgebung

The Evangelisches Gemeindeblatt für Eger und Umgebung served as a vital communication organ for the German-speaking Protestant minority residing in the Egerland region of Bohemia during the early 20th century. Published to foster community cohesion and spiritual guidance, these bulletins provided local parishes with liturgical schedules, theological reflections, and news pertinent to the German-speaking Lutheran population in a period defined by shifting geopolitical boundaries and cultural identity tensions.

The design of these periodicals reflected the traditional aesthetic of Austro-Hungarian and subsequently Czechoslovakian parochial printing. The layout prioritized readability and ecclesiastical formality, often utilizing gothic typography common to the era's German-language press. These bulletins are now primarily held in archival collections as essential primary sources for historians researching the socio-religious life of the Sudeten Germans before the demographic shifts that followed the Second World War.
