Where it came from
Final Fantasy XII - HighVision is a doujinshi publication produced by the Japanese creative circle KERA-MA-GO. Released within the robust doujin community that flourished following the 2006 launch of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XII, this work serves as an unofficial, fan-created tribute to the game's distinct aesthetic, which departed from the traditional high fantasy themes of the series in favor of a more grounded, Ivalice-centric geopolitical narrative.
The publication is characterized by the stylistic choices of KERA-MA-GO, who focused on capturing the intricate character designs and the sweeping, cinematic atmosphere established by art director Akihiko Yoshida. Like many doujin works of this period, HighVision was created to explore character dynamics and visual possibilities beyond the scope of the official game, reflecting the dedicated, often highly technical approach that Japanese fan circles took toward popular console titles during the mid-2000s.
