Where it came from
Sky Regrus is a doujinshi publication produced by the circle B3, emerging from the vibrant fan-creative scene surrounding the 2006 release of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XII. Created during the height of the game's post-release popularity, the volume serves as a piece of non-official derivative work that explores the expansive aesthetic and character-driven world of Ivalice through the specific lens of the B3 creative collective.
The publication reflects the stylistic trends of mid-2000s doujin culture, characterized by a focus on character dynamics and artistic interpretation of the title's unique high-fantasy visual design. Like many works of this era produced for distribution at events like Comiket, it aims to offer fans a more personal, localized exploration of the game's lore, emphasizing the illustrative talents of the individual artists within the circle.
