Where it came from
The Fire Emblem: Edelgard Education Diary is an illustrative companion piece derived from the expansive Fire Emblem: Three Houses universe. Created by artist Horie Arisu, this volume functions as a character-focused spin-off that explores the personal perspective and academic environment of Edelgard von Hresvelg, one of the primary protagonists of the game. It was developed to deepen the narrative engagement for fans by providing a stylized look into the internal life of the Adrestian Empire's future leader.
The design of the diary leans into the aesthetic established by the game's official art direction, blending intimate character portraiture with the scholarly atmosphere of the Garreg Mach Monastery. By centering the content around Edelgard's growth and her formative years, the work serves as an exploration of her motivations and the pressures she faced as a student. It was generally received as a thoughtful piece of supplementary lore, valued by collectors for its commitment to character consistency and the high quality of Horie Arisu's illustrative work.
