Where it came from
Gohan x Trunks After is a notable dōjinshi, or self-published fan manga, created by the artist known as Young Jijii. Originating from Japan’s vibrant amateur manga scene, this work serves as an unofficial continuation or alternative scenario within the Dragon Ball multiverse, specifically focusing on the timeline where Future Gohan and Future Trunks navigate the post-apocalyptic reality left by the Androids.
Young Jijii is widely recognized within the Dragon Ball fan community for a distinct art style that closely mimics the aesthetic of series creator Akira Toriyama. The series was designed to satisfy reader curiosity regarding missed narrative potential, specifically the bond between Gohan and his student. While not official canon, the work earned a significant reputation among enthusiasts for its technical fidelity and its serious approach to the darker, character-driven themes of the Future Trunks arc.
