Hajime's First Genderswap: Volume 1

Hajime's First Genderswap, authored by the artist known as senaka ga shiri, emerged within the prolific Japanese independent publishing scene. This volume fits into the gender-bending subgenre, which frequently explores themes of identity transformation through a comedic or experimental lens. The work is characteristic of self-published manga that often finds its initial audience at events like Comiket, where creators showcase niche narrative concepts that push against traditional tropes.

The design and artistic approach reflect the author's focus on character-driven scenarios and the specific aesthetic sensibilities common in contemporary digital manga production. As a piece of independent media, the series gained traction primarily through word-of-mouth among enthusiasts of the genre, serving as an example of how individual artists utilize serialization to explore evolving creative ideas outside of major commercial publishing houses.
