Hakumei to Mikochi

Hakumei to Mikochi, created by mangaka Takuto Kashiki, first began serialization in Harta magazine in 2012. The series explores the quiet, whimsical lives of two tiny women, Hakumei and Mikochi, who dwell within the hollows of trees and the nooks of a forest ecosystem. Kashiki intended the work to serve as a meditative escape, focusing on the minutiae of daily domesticity, craftsmanship, and the harmony of a world built at a scale small enough for the inhabitants to interact with insects and woodland flora as peers.
