Ikemen Sengoku - Tenkabito no Onna ni Naru Ki wa Nai ka

Ikemen Sengoku: Tenkabito no Onna ni Naru Ki wa Nai ka is a manga adaptation originating from the popular otome game Ikemen Sengoku, developed by Cybird. Released to capitalize on the franchise's rapid growth in the mid-2010s, the title follows the central premise of the game where a modern-day woman is transported back to the Sengoku period, subsequently becoming involved with various historical warlords. This adaptation serves as a companion piece intended to deepen the player's engagement with the characters and the narrative world through a visual, serialized medium.

The character designs and storytelling style reflect the aesthetic typical of the Ikemen series, which focuses on stylized, romanticized interpretations of Japanese historical figures. By translating the game's interactive dialogue-heavy structure into a narrative manga format, the series aims to broaden the appeal of the franchise to readers who enjoy historical romance tropes. It has been received primarily as a supplementary text for the established fanbase, highlighting the romantic dynamics between the protagonist and the warlords rather than focusing on historical accuracy.
