Jarnagin Collection and Allied Families

The Jarnagin Collection and Allied Families, compiled by Glenn Susong Clark, serves as a genealogical study documenting the lineage, migration patterns, and historical record of the Jarnagin family and their associated branches. Published in the late 20th century, the volume was produced during a period of rising interest in American ancestral research, aimed at providing a structured reference for family members seeking to preserve their heritage and track multi-generational connections across the United States.

The design and composition of the work reflect the conventions of mid-to-late 20th-century amateur genealogy, emphasizing archival research, transcribed correspondence, and primary source documentation. Clark utilized a straightforward, information-dense layout designed to assist historians and family researchers in navigating complex bloodlines. Within the niche of regional American genealogical studies, the work is regarded as a practical resource for those investigating specific Jarnagin ancestral threads, though its reach remains primarily contained within academic and specialized library collections.
