Josef Anton Henne, der Dichter des "Luaged vo Bergen u Thal": sein Leben und seine Jugendwerke

Published in the late 19th century, this biographical study by Karl Heinrich Reinacher focuses on Josef Anton Henne, a Swiss historian and poet best known for his patriotic dialect poetry, most notably 'Luaged vo Bergen u Thal.' The work serves as a scholarly examination of Henne's formative years and early literary output, aiming to contextualize his later contributions to Swiss cultural identity within the intellectual landscape of the mid-1800s.

The volume reflects the nineteenth-century tradition of regional literary documentation, where biographers sought to preserve the local heritage and personal development of figures who shaped regional dialects. Reinacher's approach is typical of period academic biographies, focusing on the preservation of primary literary texts and biographical milestones, and it remains a primary source for those studying the reception of Henne's work in the post-Romantic era.
