Kanojo, Hitomishirimasu

Kanojo, Hitomishirimasu, often translated as Rent-A-Shy-Girl, is a spin-off manga series authored and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It serves as a companion to his popular series Rent-a-Girlfriend, focusing specifically on the character Sumi Sakurasawa. The series was created to explore Sumi's internal perspective and her daily efforts to overcome her extreme social anxiety, providing readers with a more intimate look at her growth outside the primary narrative of the main series.

Miyajima’s artistic style in this volume maintains the polished, character-centric aesthetic established in his main work, emphasizing expressive character designs and nuanced emotional beats. The spin-off was received by the audience as a heartwarming expansion of the franchise, praised for its focus on character development and the gentle, supportive tone that differentiates it from the often more chaotic pacing of the parent series.
