Lamia Isabella the Eve of St. Agnes and Other Poems - Scholar's Choice Edition

The Scholar's Choice edition of John Keats's 'Lamia, Isabella, The Eve of St. Agnes, and Other Poems' serves as a modern archival reproduction of the poet's original 1820 collection. This specific volume was produced to provide researchers and students with a facsimile of the historical text, capturing the essential Romantic verses that defined Keats's final years of life. By preserving the typography and structure of the nineteenth-century publication, the edition ensures that the aesthetic and intellectual framework of Keats’s most celebrated works remains accessible to contemporary readers.

The design of this Scholar's Choice release prioritizes academic utility and archival continuity. Rather than introducing new artistic interpretations, the series focuses on maintaining the integrity of the original 1820 release, which was first published in London by Taylor and Hessey. This collection is historically significant for containing the core of Keats's poetic output, capturing a moment in literary history where the poet balanced mythological storytelling with deeply introspective lyricism, earning him a lasting reputation as a primary figure of the Romantic movement.
