Lemming no Yuzue

Lemming no Yuzue is a seinen manga series written and illustrated by Kaoru Oohashi, serialized during the late 1980s. Emerging from a period in Japanese comics where dark, psychological, and socially critical narratives were gaining traction in the seinen market, the work reflects Oohashi's distinct style, which often explores unsettling themes and the complexities of human desperation.

The design and narrative focus of the series center on surreal and often bleak explorations of existence, a hallmark of Oohashi's output during this era. As a niche title within the broader landscape of late-Showa era manga, it is regarded by collectors of the period as an evocative example of the auteur-driven, experimental storytelling that defined the more mature spectrum of manga magazines at the time.
