Liceo ginnasio "Ugo Foscolo" in Pavia. Annuario

The Annuario of the Liceo Ginnasio Ugo Foscolo in Pavia serves as a traditional commemorative publication for one of Italy's most historic educational institutions. These volumes were produced to document the academic life, faculty rosters, student lists, and scholastic achievements of the liceo, which traces its roots back to the late 18th century and is named after the celebrated poet and patriot Ugo Foscolo. They function as both administrative records and historical snapshots of the Italian classical education system during the 20th century.

Designed to reflect the formal academic environment of the institution, these annuals emphasize institutional continuity and the rigorous curriculum of the liceo ginnasio track. The layout and content typically balance bureaucratic reporting with literary contributions or speeches from distinguished alumni and staff. While they were primarily intended for internal distribution among students, families, and the regional educational board, they have since become valuable primary sources for historians researching the cultural and intellectual formation of students in Pavia across various political and social eras.
