Message to Adolf, or Adolf ni Tsugu, was serialized in the weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun between 1983 and 1985. It represents one of the final major works by Osamu Tezuka, often hailed as the father of modern manga, who sought to move beyond his earlier focus on children's stories to explore darker, more complex historical and sociopolitical themes. The narrative intricately weaves the lives of three men—two named Adolf—against the backdrop of the rise of Nazism and the shifting geopolitical landscape of the mid-20th century.
