Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan

Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan was originally developed by Otomate, the renowned otome game brand under Idea Factory, and released as a visual novel for the PlayStation Vita in 2016. Set in a reimagined Taisho era where the imperial city continues to flourish, the narrative follows Tsugumi Kuze, who joins an imperial library organization tasked with managing mystical books that exert influence over those who read them. The title captures the aesthetic of the 1920s Japanese literary scene, blending historical atmosphere with supernatural mystery.

The character designs and illustrations were crafted by the artist Satoi, whose distinct, ethereal style has become a hallmark of the Otomate brand. Satoi’s work focuses on capturing the melancholic and romantic tone of the Taisho setting through delicate linework and rich color palettes. Upon its release, the game was well-received by fans of the genre for its intricate world-building and voice acting, eventually expanding into a broader multimedia franchise that includes manga adaptations and an anime series.
