Noronoro Pukupuku

Noronoro Pukupuku is a whimsical manga series created by the artist Chanta, known for a distinctive minimalist aesthetic and a gentle, often surreal sense of humor. The series centers on the titular characters, small, blob-like creatures that inhabit a quiet, everyday world, reflecting the slice-of-life genre's focus on finding charm in mundane existence. It emerged within the Japanese independent and digital manga scene, where Chanta cultivated a following through social media platforms and serialized web installments.

The design of the series is characterized by its soft lines and muted color palettes, intended to evoke a sense of comfort and relaxation for the reader. Chanta’s visual style prioritizes emotional resonance over complex narrative arcs, a hallmark of the iyashikei—or healing—style of manga. Upon its collected publication, the work was well-received by audiences seeking low-stakes, meditative storytelling, eventually garnering enough popularity to be compiled into print volumes that serve as physical extensions of the artist's calming digital presence.
