Parliamentary Papers: Consisting of a Complete Collection of Kings Speeches, Messages to Parliament, Addresses and Representations of Both Houses to the Throne [Etc.] from the Restoration in 1660 to the Dissolution of the Last Parliament in May,

This collection represents a significant archival effort to document the formal dialogue between the British monarchy and Parliament from the Restoration of the monarchy in 1660 through the late eighteenth century. These volumes were compiled to provide contemporary readers and legal scholars with a structured record of constitutional interactions, capturing the rhetorical evolution of royal addresses and the corresponding parliamentary responses during a volatile period of English political history.

The editorial intent behind this comprehensive assembly was to consolidate disparate records into a singular, accessible resource for those involved in governance and political analysis. While the specific compiler remains anonymous, the series is characteristic of the eighteenth-century Enlightenment drive to organize institutional history. It has since become a standard reference for historians studying the shift from absolute monarchical power toward the established parliamentary supremacy of the Georgian era.
