Parliamentary Papers: Consisting of a Complete Collection of Kings Speeches, Messages to Parliament, Addresses and Representations of Both Houses to the Throne [Etc.] from the Restoration in 1660 to the Dissolution of the Last Parliament in May,

This collection represents a significant archival effort to document the formal interactions between the British monarchy and Parliament from the Restoration of 1660 through the late 18th century. Compiled to provide a continuous historical record, these volumes gather essential primary source material, including royal speeches, parliamentary addresses, and formal representations to the throne, which served as the cornerstone of British governance during a period of immense political and constitutional evolution.

The publication was designed as a reference work for scholars, legal professionals, and political historians of the era who required access to the formal discourse that shaped British law and policy. By consolidating these scattered documents into a single, accessible series, the editors provided a transparent view of the shifting power dynamics between the Crown and the legislative branches, ensuring that these records remained preserved for future parliamentary reference and study.
