Proceed!! Seigaku Computer Research Department

Proceed!! Seigaku Computer Research Department is a collection of early manga works by Hirano Kouta, the artist who later achieved worldwide recognition for his dark fantasy series Hellsing. This volume captures his formative period, reflecting the irreverent humor and chaotic energy that characterized his early professional output before he solidified his signature stylistic approach.

The collection stems from the mid-1990s, a period when Hirano was actively producing short-form manga for various publications. These stories often feature self-referential narratives and parodic elements centered on modern subcultures, such as gaming and computing. While the work is considered niche compared to his later, more internationally acclaimed projects, it serves as a valuable document for readers interested in the stylistic evolution and the foundational comedic sensibilities of a significant voice in modern seinen manga.
