First published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint in 2014, the series emerged during a period of high popularity for the magical academy subgenre in light novel publishing. The story centers on Glenn Radars, an unconventional and seemingly lazy teacher at a magical academy, whose cynical approach to education contrasts with the standard tropes of the genre.
