RustBlaster is a standalone science fiction manga volume created by Yana Toboso, originally published in Japan in 2006. Set in a future where humans and vampires are forced to coexist within a protected city, the story follows the reluctant partnership between a human weapons specialist and a vampire student. The work emerged during the early phase of Toboso’s career, serving as a precursor to the gothic aesthetic and supernatural themes that would later define her internationally acclaimed series, Black Butler.
