Sangoku Rensenki - Koutou no Hanayome

Sangoku Rensenki: Koutou no Hanayome originated as a visual novel developed by Daisy2, first released in 2010. The narrative serves as a creative reimagining of the Chinese historical epic Romance of the Three Kingdoms, blending traditional period elements with an otome-style romantic adventure. By placing the protagonist within a familiar historical framework, the title sought to provide a fresh, character-driven perspective on the classic power struggles of the era.

The character designs and original artwork were crafted by the artist Azu Maya, whose distinctive visual style became a defining feature of the series. Maya's approach emphasized delicate linework and expressive character portraits that aligned with the aesthetic expectations of the genre at the time. Upon its release, the work was well-received by the visual novel community, eventually leading to multiple ports and adaptations that cemented its place as a notable entry in the romance simulation genre.
