Sangoku Rensenki - Tokoshie no Hanasumi

Sangoku Rensenki - Tokoshie no Hanasumi serves as a companion volume to the visual novel Sangoku Rensenki, a popular retelling of the Three Kingdoms period infused with otome game elements. The work was published to expand upon the lore and character dynamics established in the original game, which reimagines classic Chinese historical figures through a romanticized, fantasy lens. It acts as a supplementary text that provides depth to the intricate narrative arcs developed by the creative team at Daisy2.

The volume features illustrations and character design work primarily associated with the artist Azu Maya, whose signature style helped define the aesthetic identity of the franchise. By focusing on the emotional and narrative gaps within the game, the volume was intended to provide a more comprehensive experience for fans of the series. Its reception is largely tied to the cult status of the original visual novel, which is well-regarded within its genre for its effective blend of historical inspiration and character-driven storytelling.
