Select Poems of Sidney Lanier - Scholar's Choice Edition

This volume is a reprint edition issued as part of the Scholar's Choice series, a publishing initiative dedicated to reproducing historical texts that have fallen into the public domain. The series focuses on scanning and digitizing archival materials to ensure that significant literary works remain accessible to contemporary scholars and students, maintaining the original formatting and notations where possible.

The poems included were originally written by Sidney Lanier, a 19th-century American poet and musician known for his lyrical focus on the Southern landscape and his technical experimentation with musicality in verse. This specific compilation reflects the enduring interest in Lanier’s transition from post-Civil War regionalism to his more complex, musically structured nature poetry, presenting his work in a standardized format intended for library and academic archival use.
