Selecta Latini Sermonis Exemplaria: E Scriptoribus Probatissimis Ad Christianae Juventutis Usum. ... Poeticae Orationis Excerptio

This collection, titled Selecta Latini Sermonis Exemplaria, was compiled for the pedagogical instruction of Christian youth during the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. It belongs to a tradition of European educational literature designed to provide students with a curated selection of classical Latin prose and poetry, deemed morally and linguistically appropriate for the rigorous training of the era's pupils.

The volume, likely published within the sphere of German Catholic educational reform, reflects the standard curriculum of the time, which emphasized a deep familiarity with classical texts as a foundation for rhetoric and theology. The selection emphasizes the works of proven authors, chosen specifically to bridge the gap between classical secular literature and the intellectual expectations of ecclesiastical institutions of the period.
