The Dickensian

The Dickensian was established in 1905 as the official monthly publication of The Dickens Fellowship, an international literary society founded in 1902. Bertram Waldrom Matz, a pivotal figure in the organization and a dedicated bibliophile, served as the founding editor. The journal was conceived to provide a scholarly and communal platform for enthusiasts to examine the life, works, and Victorian context of Charles Dickens, filling a gap for a dedicated repository of Dickensian research and social commentary.
