The Woodbridge Project

The Woodbridge Project originated as an ambitious independent webcomic series created by the artist known as sekora2000. It emerged during the mid-2010s, a period marked by the rise of digital storytelling platforms where creators could bypass traditional publishing gatekeepers to reach niche audiences directly. The project was conceived as a narrative-driven work, heavily influenced by the visual shorthand and pacing of modern manga, focusing on intricate character dynamics and world-building within a localized, atmospheric setting.

The design and artistic direction of the series reflect sekora2000’s interest in expressive character sketches and sequential storytelling flow. By prioritizing digital distribution, the project garnered a dedicated following through social media and online art communities, where readers appreciated the creator's dedication to consistent aesthetic development. While it remained largely within the sphere of independent web media, it stands as a clear example of the DIY spirit in modern graphic literature, highlighting how creators utilize iterative digital serialization to refine their visual voice.
